We had our thanksgiving dinner at JiA, an asian restaurant inside Beau Rivage Casino, at Biloxi, Mississippi. It is a fine dining resto that lets you choose if you want to be served hibashi style or just the normal way of sitting down and ordering through a waiter. We haven’t tried the hibashi dining to we decided to opt for that. This is the meaning of hibachi in wikipedia.
The hibachi (火鉢, “fire bowl”?) is a traditional Japanese heating device. It consists of a round, cylindrical or a box-shaped open-topped container, made from or lined with a heatproof material and designed to hold burning charcoal.
In North America, the term “hibachi” is used to refer to a small cooking stove heated by charcoal (actually called shichirin in Japanese), or to an iron hot plate (teppan) used in Teppanyaki restaurants.
The traditional Japanese hibachi is a heating device and not usually used for cooking. In English, however, “hibachi” often refers to small cooking grills typically made of aluminium or cast iron, with the latter generally being of higher quality. Owing to their small size, hibachi grills are popular as a form of portable barbecue. They resemble traditional, Japanese, charcoal-heated cooking utensils called shichirin. It has been suggested that these grills were confusingly marketed as “hibachi” when they were introduced to North America because that word was easier than “shichirin” for English speakers to pronounce.
Anyway, we always have hibachi in asian buffet resto but this one is different since the hibashi chef comes to your table and he cooks your order right there in front of you while you sit and watch. It was a very entertaining experience and we all enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend JiA to everyone.

Tags: dual flush kit, saving money, saving water
In this hard economic times, me and my husband wanted to save in every way we could. We would barely eat out, we would just rent DVD’s and watch it at home instead of going to theaters, we would shower, instead of taking bubble baths and right now, we are thinking of getting the dual flush kit for our toilet. It is a very cool device that you set up inside your toilet to help you save water. You don’t need to buy a new toilet, you just need to purchase the dual flush convertion kit, set it up, and you will start saving in your water bill.
Any money saved is good but it’s also nice to know that we are also helping out the environment by helping conserve water.

Tags: insurance, insurance leads
My husband’s friend is an insurance agent and he is doing well. We asked him if he’s affected with the current economy and he said, not really. We would hang-out every now and then and he would tell us that we should think of joining him in his insurance business. We are skeptical but we have an open-mind about it. We asked him one time how does he know who needs insurance, and he said he has a very reliable source that gives him insurance leads. He even said that it works for him because almost everybody that he approaches from the lead list became his clients.
So we checked the said insurance lead company and like he said they make sure that their leads are not bogus and if it is they will refund you. That helped us make up our minds and we decided that maybe next year, we will join our friend in his insurance company.

We went to the mall to window shop last weekend and after roaming around, we all got hungry so we decided to eat at the Thai Resto we love to frequent. Their foods are a little pricey but it’s all worth it because it is sooo gooodd… Even Fifi loved the peanut sauce where we dip our satay (grilled pork in skewers). Here are some of the pics I took with my phone. Pardon the poor quality of the pics.

I have a major problem, I HAVE DANDRUFF! I hate seeing white flakes in my dark hair. So ewww… I tried using all kinds of shampoo in the market, you name it, I tried it. Right now I am using head and shoulders everyday and medicated selsun blue every other day.. The latter stinks like hell but I have no choice. I don’t know why it won’t go away. It might be because of the cold weather, I am not sure. I also tried rubbing my scalp with lemon but nope, it’s not doing anything at all… HELP! If you have any advice, feel free to leave it through your comments. I need to get rid of this freakin’ dandruff as soon as possible….
